Welcome to the Home Page of
Ipswich & District Ramblers
Ipswich & District Ramblers is a local walking group
formed in 1978 and part of the Ramblers
national walking charity. We are a large and welcoming
group, of mixed ages and backgrounds. We all enjoy walking
in this beautiful area which is blessed with a wide variety
of countryside, estuaries, heathland, forests and of course
our Heritage Coast. More...
Why not join us for a walk and enjoy exploring the local area? Our walks are open to members and non-members. You can find all our upcoming walks listed in our walks programme. For more on walking with us, see Walk with us and FAQs.
Behind the Scenes
We work to protect and maintain local footpaths and we have an active footpath committee. More.

Ramblers Campaign for National Trails
The Government has set out plans to hand over management of National Trails in England from Natural England to new Local Trail Partnerships. The Ramblers believes this plan is likely to lead to a dramatic fall in the quality of National Trails and is campaigning against it. Read more about the campaign and support it by clicking here, or send information to a friend by clicking here.
