Ipswich & District Ramblers

Chair's Chatter from Isla Clough

We have an excellent selection of walks and appreciate the work done by all walk leaders preparing them. We are grateful to Gareth for producing the Programme, and we value the new method for sending walk information using spreadsheets. This method, designed by Keith and implemented by Gareth and Keith, has been used for the first time for this Programme.

Our website is used by most members and many non-members. It is the best medium we have to offer current news, updates on walks, information about events and any comments from other agencies. Also, it is there that you find a wonderful collection of photos taken on walks, ranging from 'Stags at Bay' to 'Men in Shorts 'and 'Cool Streams in the Mist'!

The website has links to all the information you might need to enjoy Ramblers membership.

The future looks good for Ipswich & District Ramblers. We have new social events planned, including a holiday in Tunbridge Wells. A picnic on 7th July has been arranged so members who no longer walk regularly can meet socially and catch up with old walking friends. We are linking with other Groups across the area and liaising with like-minded agencies locally while continuing to protect rights of way and defend the beauty of the countryside.

If you would like to receive more information about our Group's activities, please email your email address to Angela Howes [details on front page]
